sunday

sunday was the last day that kassie and john were in town and we went to Hollywood studios.

one of the first things we did was go to animation courtyard and draw a character. we all drew stitch, but it was mean stitch so i think he looked a little different (and when i say that i mean scary).

we sent the pictures to mom and she said jeff d. drew the best one and she also said that some of us don't know how to draw. (obviously i should have one but i think she just wanted jeff d to feel good about himself.)


we also got ice cream... which was delicious.


and then i had to go to work and kassie, jeff d, and john hung out.

i was working outside at the hub carts so kassie came and talked to me a bit. she also managed to take some very unattractive photos of me. but it was a nice change of pace b/c i actually had someone to talk to then stand there by myself

after work i hung out with jeff d for a little bit b/c hstud was having extra magic hours. we went on toy story like 3 times and drew a couple more character (Donald and Minnie)

we were able to go on the ride a whole bunch since when we first got there i ran into a friend who worked there and he gave us fast passes and when we got off it was only a 20 min wait so we waited in line. and the third time we went one it was 11:55 and the park closed at 12 so there was literally no one waiting in line and it was like a 5 min wait.

Saturday....

i hung out with kassie, john, and jeff d. on Saturday.

the day began by us going to buffalo wild wings and watching the iowa football game. the game was actually on a big screen tv (which was very shocking).

we ate some wings and watch iowa kick some butt.

then we played some amazing mini golf. we went to the disney fantasia mini golf course (mostly bc we have gone to the others before.

there we played the fun 'easy' side (me and jeff d played the harder side on Tuesday... be excited for another post)

mini golf soon came to an end and if you can believe it or not i did not win... i came close (and when i say close i mean i didn't lose... john lost)

after mini golf i decided we should go get ice cream at the yacht club. and a short convo later i was able to convince them all that we should get the kitchen sink sundae.

we also pretended it was johns bday and they came out and sang to him and gave him an amazing balloon. (john was slightly embarrassed).

after about 10 minutes the sundae was soon gone... and we all were shocked and felt slightly out of shape.

since we had nothing better to do i decided it would be a good idea to have everyone come to vista to help me move.

i was moving my stuff into moniques room b/c her roommate got terminated and we were told that we were getting a new roommate and i thought it would be a good idea to finally live with monique since that is what i have wanted to do since May.

we finished that and went out to eat at house of blues.

and that was the end of the exciting Saturday

another ice cream story

so to add on to my ice cream story that i mentioned earlier.
so when me and this girl were wondering around dak (disney animal kingdom) trying to find ice cream. we stopped and asked a random cast member who worked at an outside food location were to find some at.

next thing i know i look at her name tag and it says "university of iowa" so basically i freak out and start asking this girl random questions about iowa and where she lives.
she wasn't as excited as me to find another person from iowa.. but i was

i found out she lives in building 7 and i live in 9 which is right across from me.
she told me that she came down here with someone else from iowa and seemed really freaked out that i was talking to her so i didn't get any more of her info.
but i know were she lives so i may randomly go visit her someday.

new devotion to my blog

so i realized that i have been slacking on this whole blog thing but i have decided that i have plenty of stories to tell everyone that i haven't been writing about

so this all came about bc i meet a random person from iowa last week.

... so i was walking to go to a friends place and i saw someone wearing an iowa tshirt. at first i wasn't going to approach them but i decided that i should.
and basically we had a conversation that consisted of us telling each other were we are from (she goes to uni) and exchanging numbers and saying we should hang out on sunday.

along came sunday and we went to Animal kingdom (dak) and she informed me that she had a blog and she was telling me the random things she puts on it and i decided that i could be more like her and write more random things.

so my random story from hanging out with the girl from Waterloo is that eating ice cream in florida weather takes talent... and i have that talent.

we had an in depth conversation about ice cream and how i love it and how she has never got it in the parks. the reason she doesn't get it is bc she works in custodial and knows how messy it gets.

she says she doesn't want to get it bc she is doesn't want it to melt and get all over her and she doesn't want to drop it.... but i convince her to get it after about 20 min of conversation.

so i order my ice cream (a twist in a waffle cone!) and she orders the same. in less them 30 seconds she manages to drop half of her ice cream on the ground and gets it on herself.

of course she gets another free cone (the disney way) and we sit down to eat it. i manage not to drip it on my self once and she is basically covered in chocolate goodness.

we concluded that eating ice cream in the sun is something that takes three months of living in florida to understand.

my birthday

so this past saturday was my birthday... i turned an old 22.

i spent the day at epcot with a couple of my friends. where i got my (2nd) happy birthday button and a princess crown.

we also went to the yacht club and ate a kitchen sink sundae... which was very good. i got three balloons... the most out of anybody there who was celebrating their birthdays. (one person just got one balloon and two other girls got 2 balloons each... i can only come to the conclusion that everybody thinks i am awesome.)

i had two birthday cakes made for me one from monique and my friend jessica. (that makes a total of 3.. bc my sisters got me one too)

my birthday all together was not as depressing as a thought it would have been. but it did make me miss my friends and family greatly. but i realize that for the next coming months i don't have to take classes and most of my friends do... so i am okay with having another 4 months of summer :)
